THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields

2025

ILLINOIS THEATRE

A creative comedy involving a show within a show. The Play That Goes Wrong is the unfortunate telling of The Murder at Haversham Manor, where just about anything that can go wrong does go wrong. Including the set falling apart, sound effects stuck in endless loops, comm coming through the sound system, and a whole lot of spit takes. Although the majority of the sound content focused on the silliness of the production, there was also a focus on conveying the things that go wrong, from the elevator breaking down to the set falling apart and shaking the theatre.
